Photography requires a special eye, someone who can breathe life into the inanimate and capture the animate in motion. Ray Lavoie is a Columbus, Ohio-based photographer who translates the energy within an object or person into high-quality imagery for consumers, businesses, and investors.
“I see in high-energy and bright colors,” Ray said. “There are not a lot of muted colors in my world. The way I shoot – the lens I choose, the angle, which object or person – reflects that.” His photos – whether a simple shot of a designer pump, a striking portrait or a dramatic angle of a skyscraper – always evoke a response.
“I do my best work when I’m uncomfortable. When someone says, ‘Dip this shoe in chocolate’ or ‘Float these sandals in shimmering water,’ I know I’m not going to leave until it’s perfect.”
